Start With an Eye Exam

Fitting Your Eyes With Precision

An eyeglasses prescription is not the same as your contact lens prescription. A contact lens prescription has to take into account the shape and size of your cornea as well as the tightness of your eyelids. Contact lenses sit directly on the eyeball; eyeglasses are obviously further from your cornea. People with astigmatism, for instance, require a weighted lens that sits in a specific orientation on the eye.

Trial Period

Once we have established the most accurate contact lens prescription, it’s time to select the right product. If we have your desired (and properly fitting) contacts on hand, you will leave our exam room with a trial pair to test that week. In some cases, we may need to order your custom contact lenses. You will be notified as soon as they arrive and then begin the trial period.

After about a week, we want to see you again and get your feedback about your new lenses. Again, we will measure your eyes and test your vision and make sure you are getting the most out of your lenses. If the product isn’t perfect, we’ll try another one.
